Foreword: Multi Mode licences, without limitations makes up Global Mode
By Fred Broers

Fred Broers

In this second newsletter we chose the theme of Global Mode and one of our regular columnists, Tim Macer, wrote about it. Thanks, Tim.

By Tim Macer

Tim Macer

The concept of the 'Global Mode' is an exciting one for research companies or even independent research consultants who want to increase the reach of their research without having to overstretch themselves on either the technical or financial front. For some years now I have been observing the growth of mixed- and multi-modal interviewing and relating this to developments in research technology and methodology with a mixture of optimism and pessimism.

Tim Macer is managing director of Meaning ltd., a management and technology consultancy firm, based in the UK. Tim is an independent analyst, specialising in technology for research.
